About Phase 1 Electrical Services

Phase 1 Electrical Services Inc. is a growing SWaM Certified Small, Woman Owned Class A Electrical Contractor serving all of Tidewater, and the Peninsula. We provide over 20 years of Electrical Contracting, and Maintenance experience to our Residential, Commercial, and Governmental clients.

Phase 1 Electrical Services Inc. was founded, and incorporated by Letisha Martinez Koon (President, and CEO), and her husband Max A. Koon Jr. (Vice President) in 2010. Letisha oversees the day-to-day operations of the company, manages the office, and handles material procurement. Max oversees all Field Installations, Project Management, Estimating, and Safety Programs. Max brings to the table over 20 years of electrical experience, and also served as an Electrical Inspector, and Construction Manager at NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA. We are proud to be a family owned, and managed business and would like the opportunity to bring our expertise, and knowledge to your projects.

Training

We employ only the top state Licensed Electricians, and State registered Apprentices to serve our clients needs, putting your projects quality, and importance above all else. All of our electricians receive continuing education credits in order to maintain their certification with the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR). All of our apprentices are enrolled in a Virginia approved apprentice training program that spans 4 years, and teaches the latest trends in electrical installation, technology, and safety.

Safety

Safety on all of our projects is paramount here at Phase 1 Electrical Services Inc., and all of our personnel receive an OSHA 10-hour training course, Arc Flash Safety Training, and continual refresher courses covering the latest safety trends. This attention to safety reduces our job-site injuries, which reduces our insurance costs, and in turn reduces the costs that are passed along to the customer. This also keeps all of our employees going home each day as good as or better than when they arrived at work.
